Welcome to all the new Year 1 and 2 children
It has been a great start to the new 2009/10 year and all the children, especially the Year 1's are really settling in.
Our year began with the children discovering a dragon nest, complete with egg in our environmental area. The children came up with many exciting and wonderful ideas to explain the appearance of the egg. From this exciting start, the children have produced some great literacy work based on descriptive writing and art work that has been very impressive.
It was a great pleasure to see so many parents at the Consultation Evening and if you should have any concerns or queries about what is going on in the classroom, please do not hesitate to pop in and see me.

Mr wilsons class in P.E have been learning about French cricket and ball games. They thought piggy in the middle was the funnest game and they learnt how to throw under and over arm, how to hold a tennis racket and fielding such as catching.
In maths they learnt to round numbers to the nearest twenty or one hundred.
