Mr Johnson

The start of the new school year brought the arrival of a new baby for Mr Johnson, so whilst he was getting to know his new daughter, Erin, our class had the pleasure of working with Miss Cummings. We focused on a book called 'The Snail and the Whale', thinking about the storyline of adventure and new beginnings. It was great fun thinking about the travels that the characters had and gave us the chance to think about all the various habitats that were visited. We also got the chance to do some art which is displayed around our classroom.

Following our work on the story we began to think about how we can develop our thinking and questioning skills and have had lots of opportunities to use our creative minds on various fun activities.

We thought about how the whale moved from place to place and then thought that people do this too. We talked about migration and settlements and the reasons why people choose to move locations. This led nicely into our Roman topic where this week, we have been thinking about invasion and how the Romans wanted to expand their Empire through force!

Next week, we'll be meeting a Roman soldier in school, we've been given the task of preparing questions to ask him for our homework and we are all really excited about having a really special day on Monday.

In P.E we've been doing circuit trainig in year 3/4 it is very fun!! Also in outdoor P.E  we've been doing Cricket, hudlers and hockey.I think the class has really enjoyed the diffrent sporting activities we have been trying out in the sunny weather!

I think the class enjoyed hockey the most because we got to play a exciting match!!

and also we all like football as well.

 

 

 

Also we've went to Burghley House it was very exciting. We got to make 3.D wirery sculptures and a guided tour round the House!!! By a dressed up Todar

 

Also we have been doing animation for a long time and we've made a play and my group did about Deforeststation!!

 

Also Spain won the world cup!! CONGRATS! nice goal iniesta,that could of been england this is david villa one of the most best football players in the the world he plays for barcelona!
