Welcome to your Friends Association, (part of the NCPTA)

May we take this opportunity to welcome you to St Gilbert's and tell you all about our Friends Association, which is a big part of school life.

Why do we have a Friends Association?

We are very fortunate at St Gilbert's to have a friends association that is, and has been, such an integral part of the school for many years. In its time the Friends have raised thousands of pounds which have been spent on improving resources and purchasing equipment to enhance all our children's education, and the school facilities in general. The Friends exist to provide closer links between home and school. It is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working together towards a common goal.

We are always looking for new and exciting events to raise money. If you have any ideas however extravagant or insignificant you think they may be, don't let them go to waste let us know!

The Friends Association is all voluntary. Without willing parents and carers to help we would not be able to put on any social and fund raising events. The money we raise benefits every child in the school. Please do support your Friends Association so that your child can benefit from the added extras which contribute towards making St Gilbert's such a special and thriving school.
